I wondered about the appropriateness of the form to your concept.
I'm not feeling very strongly about the form itself because I don't know that it speaks much about your experience. It's possible that because the form is so strictly ovular and regular, the intense emotion you feel isn't accurately conveyed.
Conversely, the fact that it's a container allows others to interact with the piece and see what it contains. This adds a second layer of understanding, but it still seems like to oval shell is detached from the inner vial.
I hope your repairs to the hinge are going well, by the way!
i chose the shape for its simplicity, and because i feel it relates to the plain, functional nature of the container. i did not want to (ever) display those emotions
